EVERTON NOTES
Athletic News - Monday 01 June 1891
The Everton secretary denies that A. Brady has applied for reinstatement.  All we can say is that the list given to us last week was obtained on the best possible authority and we are prepared to stand by it as correct.

FRED GEARY
Nottingham Evening Post - Saturday 20 June 1891
F. Geary, the popular centre forward of Everton, made 100 not out in dashing style.  After Geary’s splendid performance this season the County Committee might do worse than give him a trial.  He is a player with any amount of confidence and one of the most brilliant fielders in the town.  A gentleman who occasionally plays for Lancashire has quite recently been making inquiries about him for that County.  (plays for Notts)

LIVERPOOL AND DISTRICT NOTES
Athletic News - Monday 22 June 1891
By the Loiterer
Everton won’t allow any League club to visit Bootle before sporting themselves on the Anfield.  Not that they have any objection-oh, dear, no!- just simply a rule of the League.  Bootle will therefore have “light” fixtures such as Sheffield United, Northwich Victoria &c.  Woolwich Arsenal is down early on, and will prove an attractive fixture.  Most of the Scotch League clubs will be met.  And there you are; plenty of cricket and lots of football and what could you wish for more.
