The season opens on a sad note when directors Mr. Brooks and J Prescott died and Mr. Cramshaw resigned his position on his management of the club and the chairmanship had been handed to Mr. Clayton. Jimmy Settle is pronounced captain and Walter Balmer sub captain. The season however was not a great one as Everton finished 7th and Liverpool becoming champions.
